Introduction to French Language and Culture, Sequence I

French 101 is an engaging and interactive introductory course designed to immerse learners into the captivating world of French language and culture. Whether you are a complete beginner or have limited prior knowledge of the language, this course is the perfect starting point for building a solid foundation in French. Come join us on this exciting journey! With our small class sizes, you'll enjoy a more personalized and engaging learning experience. Plus, there’s no pressure—no exams, and only resasonable, optional homework. It’s all about making progress at your own pace while having fun. We can't wait to see you in class!

Logistics:

-Class meetings via Zoom (MDT) (exact days and times TBD); 3 times a week

-Once registered students will automatically gain access to our course on Canvas where class materials and announcements will be posted

-Course duration: 10 weeks = 30 class sessions; 60-min. class sessions

-No prerequisite required

-Class taught in French (85%-100%) (level: A1)

-Group size: up to 12 students

-Materials: No textbook required in this course

Beginning French 102 (Online via Zoom)

Introduction to French Language and Culture, Sequence II

Building on the foundational knowledge acquired in French 101, French 102 is an intermediate-level course designed to further develop your proficiency in the French language and deepen your understanding of French culture. This course is ideal for learners who have completed French 101 or possess a basic understanding of French grammar and vocabulary. Small-size classes equals more fulfilling learning experience! Plus, there’s no pressure—no exams, and only reasonable, optional homework. We look forward to seeing you in class and to supporting you on your journey in French!
